52 Lists: Week 3

These days I have had my thinking hat on thanks to my sucky immune system that is keeping me from going to college. I don't regret not going to college or not talking to people AT ALL! So, what do I do? I read, surf the net, watch TV, and get scolded for doing all that and not resting. :P

AND obsess over random quotes! A famous quote by G.B. Shaw has been messing with my brain these days and there are so many ways to interpret it. It is just so beautiful!

"There are two tragedies in life. One is to lose your heart's desire. The other is to gain it".

Anyway, it's time for the third list! God, it was a tad bit difficult and I had to put quite a bit of thought while writing this one. So, here it goes...

My coffee making talent (Everyone loves my coffee!)
My awesome taste in music! (It is verrry random; I never stick to one genre)
That I am not afraid of any reptile or any insect!
That I am good at influencing/convincing people
My presence of mind
That I never lie (Also cause I am terrible at it. I can't lie to save my own life! :D )
That I was in the cabinet of my school (We had proper election and everything. It was prettttty cool)
The fact that I am a voracious reader
That I am quite compassionate
That I am pretty selfless
My ability to cheer people up!
That I don't mind taking a stand for what I believe in
That I am a very loyal and faithful person
That I make an excellent friend
That I am an open minded person
That I can see through people easily
That I am not afraid of death
That I am good at giving an unbiased opinion

There are a lot of things that I am proud of. What about you? What are you proud of?
Write all the things that you are proud of and pin that list to your board and whenever you feel down, I promise seeing it will bring a smile to your face.

Try it! What's the harm?

52 Lists

Good morning, Earthlings!!

How ya'll been?

So a random fun fact about me! I am an avid Quoran. It is this amazing site where you can put up questions, answer questions, follow topics and people. It is a good way to gather knowledge.

So, yesterday I started speaking to another Quoran like me, Preetha Datta, who told me about this new project that's going around, "52 lists". It was started by Moorea Seal on her blog, where every week she posts a topic for a "list" and draws it out. Cool, eh?

I think I am gonna try making lists as well. First week's topic was 'Words I find beautiful' and this week's topic is 'Greatest Comforts'. So I will be combining these two in one post. :P

So, here it goes... 'Words I Find Beautiful'

  1. Intriguing
  2. Enigma
  3. Epitome
  4. In tranquility
  5. Clique
  6. Paradoxical
  7. Fathom
  8. Lazarus
  9. Dissonance
  10. Demure

And this week's topic is "Greatest Comforts"

Dark (I am a nyctophiliac)
My house's terrace
Hot Coffee
Chocolate (How can anyone NOT find this comforting? )
Walk in the parks (I love my evening walks, very relaxing)
SWINGS!!
Hugs (They solve every kind of problem!)
Quiet/Silence (I often like to be left alone with my thoughts)
Music!
Dancing (It is so much fun)
Singing (I suck at it but who cares? :P )

Anyway, check out Preetha's Blog 'Teen Musings!' A big thanks to her for introducing me to such a cool project! :)

Also, you can now follow my blog on here---> Words Unspoken

Till next time! :)

Oh, shoot! It's MOOT!!

The fourth semester has begun.

This time we have five law subjects, two B.A. subjects and almost all of them are moderately difficult. It seems that this semester is going to be pretty average. However, I do have something cool to look forward to!

The MOOT!!

On 31st Jan, I have my Moot Court Competition. For all those who don't speak law, it is just a competition where we are given set of facts and we have to draft memos for both the sides and argue the matter of the side that we get. Usually there is a team which comprises of three people, two mooters(speakers) and a researcher. This time, however, they changed the rule to allow two people to make a team. My team has me and another guy, so the research work falls completely on us.

Basically, we have to draft the issues, the pleadings and look up various cases as well. And when the time comes, we'll be the ones arguing in front of a Judge. Hopefully, we'll kick ass and get a good rank!

And yes, that is all the excitement we get in law schools :D

Also, next week my first cousins are coming to visit India for two weeks. We haven't seen each other in more than three years! So, I am realllly excited for that as well! I wish this week passes soon!

Anyway, hope you guys are enjoying your life :)

First Post of the Year :P

HEYYYY!!!

A Very Happy New year to you all!! :*

I hope you all had an amazing time on the last day of the year because my new year's eve was amazing. I spent it by reading a book by Jodi Picoult. Then the clock struck twelve. I wished my parents and grandparents and my kid brother. And the whatsapp started buzzing with messages as well. All the while I was listening to one of my favorite bands 'Poets of The fall'.

Anyway, how many of you made New Year resolutions? (That you obviously fail to keep :P). Well, I haven't really made any. What is the point?

However, I have decided to do something new this year. I have decided that every time something happens that makes me happy, I will write it down on a chit. I will collect all of these and read it next year. As I write this down, I realize how stupid this is. But, well I'll do it anyway. :P

Also, I will try to make my posts longer. Anyway, till next time :*

P.s. The picture below is made by me. I was bored :P
