These days this seems to be a hot topic of discussion between my friends and me. Hence, this!
I have always considered that girls are better than boys. They are! We are effing awesome! And, girls' school is MUCH better than a coed school!
My parents admitted me to a girls' school at the tender age of four (It wasn't as if I had much choice). I ended up spending 14 years of my life in the same school. And I always loved it. Sure, there were some tough times too because teenage girls (rather girls in general :P ) can be really bitchy but there was never a moment when I wanted to change my school. People usually look at me with pity when they find out that I did not go to a co-ed! As if, I have missed a lot!!
As to why I love it and think it's better than co-ed...
There was NO gender stereotyping.
I was schooled in an all girls' environment and I loved almost every moment of it. It kept me focused and transformed me into a strong and confident person and it instilled in me the belief that everything is possible and any goal is achievable!
No 'it's not a girl sport', No 'you can't do that', No 'that table is too heavy for you'.
We did not face any sort of discrimination or deal with any kind of sexism.
There were virtually no restrictions. We could speak our hearts out and not have fingers pointed at our character.
Also, no boy drama or stupid link ups or anything of that sort.
During functions if we had to dress up, we dressed up for ourselves and it wasn't done to win some guy's attention.
To all those geniuses out there,
Going to an all girls' school is NOT a punishment.
We do not PMS at the same time. We do not spend all our time doing nails/make-up. We do not turn out to be horny, desperate, boy-crazed women as people think.
I was schooled in an all girls' environment and I loved almost every moment of it. It kept me focused and transformed me into a strong and confident person and it instilled in me the belief that everything is possible and any goal is achievable!
